Beehives placed on open Texas pastureland

Ag Lease / 1-D-1 Exemption

Lease our hives to qualify for Texas agricultural tax exemption on your land.

Important: 5-year ag history required

Your property must have been used for agriculture (like livestock) for 5 of the past 7 years to qualify. If it's never had an ag or livestock exemption, you can't start getting beekeeping tax benefits right away — that 5-year history comes first. Not sure where your land stands? We'll help you figure it out.

How It Works

1

Qualify

Texas's 1-D-1 Open Space appraisal gives landowners an agricultural valuation for keeping bees — perfect for 5 to 20 acres.

5–20 AcresTexas law requires a minimum of 5 acres (up to 20) for beekeeping ag valuation.
